After 0-1 away win in Lagos on January 30th, 2022 against MFM FC courtesy of Mohammed Akilu (6th minute) first half goal, Shooting Stars of Ibadan are yet to pick another maximum away points on the road, - but have managed to secure a point (0-0) against Sunshine Stars recently.
Kabiru Alausa, an assistant coach of Shooting Stars has confidently assured the Oluyole Warriors fans, supporters and lovers of the Ibadan soccer lords that the team won't disappoint them on Sunday at the Kwara township stadium when they trade tackles with the Afonja Warriors.
Alausa stated that Shooting Stars players and entire technical crew have been working tirelessly and in unity to live up to the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 28 expectations of many fans and supporters.
Recall the former Shooting Stars point man told newsmen that the team would get at least a point in Akure in their last away fixture and it did happen after a goalless result against the Akure gunners.
Alausa told OyoSportsNews; "Remember I told you we are going to get something in Akure and you can see the result, we thank God for the win against Tornadoes and we are confident of getting good result in Kwara this weekend. We're working hard to turn around our away form and we shall continue to make you proud." He noted.
Prior to 0-1 away win against MFM FC, Shooting Stars came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win against Kwara United. Ayo Adejubu 79th and Ebenezer Odeyemi 90+7 goals gave the homers the much needed three points after Alao Danbano had put the visitors ahead at the 61st minute.
