Anthony Encho hailed a “committed” Crown FC performance as they swept aside Cynosure FC of Abakaliki to top the Nigeria National League group B2 standings at P.A Oruta Ngele stadium on Saturday.
The Ogbomoso based side kicked off the second stanza of the most important league in Abakaliki after rounding off the first phase on second position. Anthony Encho led technical crew had unbeaten run at home with six wins from six home matches.
Against all odds, the Ajilete Warriors took the lead before the halftime break courtesy Yussuf Taiye who had now registered two goals this season for Crown FC. The former Gateway United player got his first goal against Bayelsa United two weeks ago at the LAUTECH football pitch, Ogbomoso.
Encho in a private chat with OyoSportsNews praised his side's "dedication and concentration" after a hard fought 1-0 win over Cynosure in their first away game at the second stanza
"It was a difficult win, we fought hard for the kick-off to the final whistle, - the players did extremely well. I salute them for thier commitment, dedication and concentration throughout the match."
"Our game plan really work out fine and I must commend them once again because they weren't distracted at the second when the pressure keep increasing. Henry Ndedi is a good addition to the squad, he deserves the man of the match but generally, the entire team made me proud."
With 23points from 13matches, Crown FC will host Ijebu United this Saturday at the LAUTECH football pitch, Ogbomoso.
