OyoSportsNews has named goalkeeper King Udo Okechukwu as his man of the match following the Oluyole Warriors’ premier league 0-0 result with Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football matchday 26.

OyoSportsNews believes Udo Okechukwu deserved the man of the match award for the couple of saves he made during the encounter against Sunshine Stars at the Ondo State Sports Complex.

Udo Okechukwu joined Shooting Stars from Gateway United last year (2021) November and has featured for the Oluyole Warriors at the last edition of GSM Pre-season Tournament and Ibadan Football Association (IFA) League.

Okechukwu made his NPFL debut for Shooting Stars today after five months. Recall that he was injured last year and was out for two months.

OyoSportsNews added, “It was a fantastic performance by Udo Okechukwu. He was probably Man of the Match, especially in the second half. He made six or seven brilliant saves.”

Shooting Stars will now clash with Niger Tornadoes on Sunday, May 8 in their next Nigeria Professional Football League fixture as they sit 10th place on the Premier League table.
