NLO: ILAJI FC TO FORTIFY SQUAD FOR SECOND STANZA

Ilaji Football Club will be reinforced for the Nationwide League One second stanza, the club have announced.
The league debutant secured a point against Timi Giants FC at away fixture to round off thier first stanza outings to go top of the Nationwide League group C2 standings with sixteen points and fifteen goals advantage.
With the successful conclusion of MatchDay 9 games across the country last weekend, the Nationwide League One (NLO) has informed clubs that the season will go on two weeks break from Monday 16th to 31st May 2022.It is expected that clubs will use the period to fortify their squad by registering additional players for the conclusion of the 2022 season.
Ilaji FC manager and head coach Babatunde Odubola fondly called 'Ziko' told OyoSportsNews that the team will be fortified for the task ahead of the second round.
"We thank God for the success of the first round and I can boldly say we had a good first half outings but we need to do more especially on away matches. The league is currently on break for two weeks and we want to add more players to our squad."
"Most of our players (at least eight) are likely to leave Nigeria for foreign clubs, we need to find best replacement and reinforce the team as early as possible. We know the kind and type of players we want and we're working on how to secure them and make them understand our style of play and football philosophy."
"Our target for the league is to promote to the Nigeria National League, nothing would stop us from achieving our set goals."
Meanwhile, Ilaji FC resumed yesterday from three days break and pummeled Net Breakers from Okaka in Oke Ogun by 14-0 in a friendly match. The team is expected to play more friendly matches before the resumption of the league.
