PUC SEASON II RND 16: IWAJOWA DIAMONDS CRASH OUT, AS KAJOLA VILLA HOST ITESIWAJU RANGERS

Iwajowa Diamonds crashed out at the round of 16 of the Peller Unity Cup Season II following a 4-3 defeat on penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 fulltime draw held at the Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki against Itesiwaju Lions on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
The Diamonds failed to make it past the knockout stage (round of 16) after their first half lead at the 25th minute courtesy of Ojekunle Sola's bullet header.
However, Alayande Kehinde gave Itesiwaju Lions a lifeline at the 51st minute before the two teams were separated on penalty shoot-out.
Certainly, a winner must emerge and a team must proceed. Iwajowa Diamonds were knocked out 4-3 on penalty shoot-out by Itesiwaju Lions to book a place at the round of 8.
Meanwhile, action continues today the Iseyin District Grammar School, Iseyin for another round of 16 fixture involving Kajola Villa and Itesiwaju Rangers by 3:30pm. The match is expected to beamed live on Oyo Sports Update (Facebook page).
