An hour after he was unveiled as the new Head Coach Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United. Soccer tactician, Ayodeji Ayeni has called for his side to rediscover their 'ruthless winning mentality'.
Speaking to newsmen after he was unveiled by the club chairman, the former Sunshine Stars of Akure believed the position of the club on the NPFL mid-season standings is not bad and the only thing that is constant is change.
"Akwa United have never done badly to the level at which we taught we can't get it right. Something that's constant in life is change, so when the change comes, a lot of things will change."
"First thing is that the spirit of winning mentality has to come back into the team. I can assure that with every game and kind of brand the club is, we have to go back to it and everyone has to be smiling again and believe the team has really come to stay for better future. I believe at the end of the season, well get that continent slot." He assured.
