Bafan Augustine is desperate to make a fresh start at Shooting Stars after two consecutive injuries within two months.
The right back joined Shooting Stars from Niger Tornadoes in November 2021 but has been unable to live up to expectations, partially due to injury.
Bafan picked up his first injury at the 28th minute against Enyimba at the Aba stadium on January 9 2022 and was replaced by Ghali Falke. His first debut for the Oluyole Warriors was cut short, no thanks to tissue injury. He returned to action after about a month against Corner Stones in another league match - this time at the Ibadan Football Association (IFA) League and was also removed at the first half due to injury.
Bafan refuses to throw in the towel, though, and remains determined to succeed at the club.
"It's good to be back and, for me, it's very important that I don't have any more injury problems this season," the dark skinned player told OyoSportsNews.
"The preparation is very important for me, I feel really well so far but it's a long time since I played. Last two months was very difficult for me because I had injury, but this is a new page now. I hope to stay free from injuries and to have a better season. I feel very good."

Shooting Stars' 1-0 win against Kano Pillars was the lastest positive result after five winless run under Edith Olumide Agoye and Bafan is loving life under the dark skinned gaffer.

"It is good to be here, the feelings are amazing; the fans, new teammates, new stadium and so many things. I want to be involved in this project and we (players) all committed and fully ready to change the team position on the log." He said.
