ITESIWAJU RANGERS DUMP ATISBO ROYALS OUT OF PUC TO BOOK SEMI PLACE

Two goals from Awujoola Saheed and Alose Taofiq in each half were enough for Itesiwaju Rangers as they booted out Atisbo Royals at the quarter final match of the Peller Unity Cup Season II.The Rangers took an early lead after a defensive error from Atisbo Royals courtesy of Awujoola Saheed solo finish in the box at the 11th minute. Efforts made by Atisbo Royals Coach, Adegbola Temitope Abraham to get a leveller proved abortive despite a first half replacement.
However, Itesiwaju Rangers doubled the tally in the second after a brilliant and spectacular freekick from Alose Taofiq in the 61st minute. The goal gave Coach Okesola Bolaji Johnson tutored side a comfortable passage to the semi final.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, local organizing committee, Iseyin local government, Comrade Mudashiru Isiaka Taiwo commended the Hon Shina Peller for using the football tournament to unite all local governments in Oke Ogun. He also applauded security agencies for job well done.
Meanwhile, action continues tomorrow at Community Grammar School, Otu. Kajola Blues will be locking horns with Iseyin City at 3:30pm.
