"A GAME WITHOUT FIRE" DIMEJI LAWAL LAMENTS AS NIGERIA DRAW AGAINST GHANA

Former Nigeria International and Shooting Stars General Manager, Dimeji Lawal was not pleased that Nigeria were not up to scratch against the Black Stars of Ghana at the first leg of FIFA World Cup Qualification held at Baba Yara Stadium on Friday night.
According to the former Shooting Stars and Julius Berger reliable player, the overall assessment of the goalless draw were below par at the 40,000 thousand capacity stadium.
The goalless draw left Nigeria with a healthy cushion over the Black Stars and in need of a compulsory win to guarantee qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It's now a winner takes it all in the return leg at the MKO Abiola stadium, Abuja.
The former Real Madrid B player said on his official Facebook page: "Over hyped game, too low a standard. both teams played without fire."
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles of Nigeria host the Black Stars of Ghana on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in the return leg.
