SHOOTING STARS, SAKI UNITED TO KICK OFF SEYI MAKINDE FOOTBALL VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT

The first edition of Seyi Makinde Football Volunteer Movement will kick-off this coming Sunday, 16th of October, 2022 with Nigeria Professional Football League campaigner, Shooting Stars and Oyo State 2022 Aiteo Cup champions, Saki United slugging it out in the opening match.
Member of Organizing Committee who spoke to OyoSportsNews explained that four teams will be participating in this maiden edition. Shooting Stars of Ibadan (NPFL), Crown FC of Ogbomoso (NNL), Oyo State Housing Corporation FC (NLO) and Ibadan Football Association (IFA) 2022 League runner up and the state Aiteo Cup winner, Saki United are the four clubs that will be participating.
OyoSportsNews gathered that the first edition which is expected to be beamed live on YouTube by Stanley Obasi [Classic Sportview] is powered by Mr Jide Olugbodi, Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Chairman, Barrister Rotimi Alli, Mr Tunde Adejuwon and Richard Adefiranyo.
On Sunday, Saki United will be at the OYSADA football pitch, Saki as they host Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the opening match at 3:00PM. Recall that Saki United shocked Shooting Stars at the semi final of the 2022 Oyo State Aiteo Cup via penalty shoot-out to clinch their first major title.
Nigeria National League side, Crown FC will on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the LAUTECH football pitch at 3:00pm host Oyo State Housing Corporation FC for the second match. Coincidentally, Crown FC were booted out at the quarter final stage by Oyo State Housing Corporation FC at the 2022 Oyo State Aiteo Cup via penalty shoot-out. 
Member of the organising committee and chairman, Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Barrister Rotimi Alli told OyoSportsNews that winners of both matches will lock horns at the Lekan Salami stadium Adamasingba Ibadan on Sunday, 23rd October, 2022. He assured of a fair football event where all teams would be given a level playing field to fight for bragging rights.

"Four teams will be participating in this first edition, Shooting Stars, Crown FC, Oyo State Housing Corporation FC and Saki United. Many teams have shown interest and ready to participate and we promised to redesign the idea by next year. The winners of the two fixtures will slug it out at the final but before that, the Executive member of the Oyo State led by Governor Seyi Makinde and legislative arm of government led by the Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Debo Ogundoyin will play a novelty match by 12noon."
Barrister Rotimi Alli added that the grand finale will witness electrifying performance from popular Ibadan-based fuji musician, Alhaji Taiwo Akande Adebisi popularly known as Taye Currency, Explicit Dancers, Ewi Exponent, Dj and local drummers. Upcoming artists will entertain the audience.
