OYO BASKETBALL TECHNICAL OFFICIALS GETS ITS FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT

The Oyo State Basketball Technical Officials Council (OYSBTOC) formerly known as 'Oyo Empire' has elected Mrs Gbemi Tabi as its first female president.
The election held on Saturday, 3rd of October was described to be free and fair in peaceful process.
The council, having unanimously agreed for a change of name from Oyo State Basketball Referees Council (OYSBRC) to Oyo State Basketball Technical Officials Council (OYSBTOC) was coined and birthed out of making sure every aspect as regards to the technical officiating in the game of basketball is in the public domain as a universal body.
By so doing, the council can now boast of having FIBA graded International Referees, FIBA certified Statisticians and numerous National graded Referees & Technical Match Commissioners which is a laudable achievements over the years.
The 3-man Electoral Committee was chaired by the President of the Nigeria Basketball Basketball Referees Council (NBRC) Mr. Popoola Babatunde and assisted by Mr. Adeoye Olaide Bamidele as the Secretary and Mr. Olaoluwa Oni as a member.
Newly elected President, Mrs Gbemi Tabi in her first executive meeting held today thanked members and seek their supports as she promised to pick up the baton where her predecessor left off and also making sure that the council remains positioned as a role model that it has always been to all basketball stakeholders nationwide.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
