MY DREAM AS A GOALKEEPERS' TRAINER– JOHN DOSU

Shooting Stars goalkeepers' trainer John Dosu has disclosed that his mission is to produce best goalkeepers that will represent Nigeria in any level and make the country proud most especially in European clubs.
The former El-kanemi Warriors and Warri Wolves goaltender joined Shooting Stars coaching staff and will work alongside Kola Ige after Lateef Yussuf's contract was not renewed by the club management.
Before his move to the Oluyole Warriors, John Dosu had worked with Smart City FC, Peter Rufai Football Academy and MFM FC
John Dosu said that although the dream of every goalkeeper is to have clean sheet in every game but he will be more fulfilled to produce a world class goalkeepers for the national teams and European clubs.
"As a goalkeeper, we value clean sheets record in every league or competition but I see beyond that, now as a goalkeeper coach, I want to make sure I produce a world class goalkeepers that will represent Nigeria national teams in any age level and European clubs. Football legends like Emmanuel Okala, Best Ogedegbe, Peter Rufai, Vincent Enyeama, Gianluigi Buffon, Petr Čech, David de Gea, Thibaut Courtois and many more had successfully represented their countries and clubs with good records. Their records are still unmatched till date in areas of clean sheets, trophies and individual awards, this is exactly my dream, I want to make sure I train and produce goalkeepers of this status."
"I strongly believe this is achievable in any capacity I find myself, the only factor that can hinder this dream is Nigeria factors. I'm talking about the standard of the league, training facilities, and many more."
John Dosu, a former Shooting Stars player is the younger brother of Nigeria Olympic gold medalist Dosu Joseph. He will work alongside Coach Kola Ige with Shooting Stars as goalkeepers' trainers at the Nigeria Professional Football 2022/23 season.
