The management of Shooting Stars under the chairmanship of Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan fondly called 'Akoro' has proposed at least four 'Grade A' friendly matches for Shooting Stars players. OyoSportsNews has scooped.
The matches include Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Niger Tornadoes which will hold on Sunday, October 30th at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan.
There will be three more Grade A matches with NPFL clubs and Kwara United football club of Ilorin are on the pipeline.
The leadership of Hon Babatunde Olaniyan since his appointment by the state governor Engr Seyi Makinde has promised that the team will also play away from home so as to feel other turfs outside Oyo state ahead of the 'yet to be announced kick-off date for the new season'.
Recall that Shooting Stars have recorded eleven wins four draws and three losses at pre-season matches and have also won two cup finals but lost to Remo Stars at the optima Energy Gold Cup in Ikenne.
Meanwhile, top club officials have told OyoSportsNews that the management is expecting objective, constructive and unbiased assessment from the media, fans, supporters and other stakeholders.
Sources added that compulsory tickets for entry is 'likely' to be mandated for fans, supporters and football lovers.
