DELTA 2022: SOUTH WEST BALL GAMES ZONAL ELIMINATION COMMENCES TUESDAY

As part of the efforts to fine tune the road map in preparation for the succesful hosting of the 2022 National Sports Festival tagged 'Asaba 2022', over eight hundred athletes and their officials from the South Western States of Nigeria will converge at the Lanreleke Sports Academy, Ile Ogbo, Osun State for the commencement of the Zonal Elimination on Tuesday October 4, 2022.
According to a statement made available to OyoSportsNews by the director of Media and communication, Oyo state sports council, Tunde Ajibike, the opening ceremony of the five day event will hold on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 3pm amongst south west states in Nigeria (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, 0ndo and Ekiti State).
Over 800 participants will partake in the sports team elimination in preparation for the forthcoming 2022 National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged 'Uniting Nigeria, inspiring a new generation'. Zonal team sports is also scheduled to hold from October 3rd to 7th, in Ile-ogbo, Osun State.
Lanreleke Sports Academy and Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State will be the venue for football, volleyball, hockey, base/soft ball and Beach volleyball.
The 21st edition of the National Sports Festival which was earlier scheduled for 2nd to 15th November was postponed to 28th November to 10th December 2022 to allow speedy completion of the facilities that will utilized for the national tournaments.
