AFCON U23: OLYMPIC EAGLES LOSE TO VIA ACADEMY IN FRIENDLY

In preparation for their 2023 Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Tanzania this month, the Nigeria U23 team lost 0-3 in a friendly match against VIA Football Academy of Ibadan.
The test game, held at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan was put together as part of the team’s preparation for the first leg match scheduled for the weekend of 21st – 23rd October. The team is expected to depart Nigeria on 18th October for Dar es Salaam.
The Eagles were down 2-0 at the first half courtesy of Ibrahim Ayoola's first half brace, Waheed Adebayo netted the third goal for VIA Football Academy to the end the test game 3-0 in favour of the Ibadan based team.
After thier first leg match scheduled for the weekend of 21st – 23rd October, the return leg will hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday, 29th October.
