OYE OLOHUN FC FIGHT BACK TWICE TO SALVAGE DRAW WITH ILAJI FC

Substitute Effiong Bassey came to Oye Olohun Travels & Tours Football Club's rescue as they fought back twice to draw with Ilaji Football Club 2-2 in an incident-packed Nigeria Nationwide League One at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Oyo State Federation Cup Champions looked set to earn three points from the opening seven minutes when Opajobi Qudus Olalekan opened the scoring for the Sanusi Boys. Oye Olohun FC, after conceding early goal were unable to take the wheel of the game, surrendering themselves to firsf half defeat.
Ilaji FC, led by Coach Adeniyi Sesan Ogundele were in control of the second half not until Oye Olohun FC soccer tactican Ogundeji Joel made three changes to foster his attack.
After 71st minutes of action, Oye Olohun FC took over the heart of the field in a perfect way, with Effiong Bassey finding the net at the near post to level the scoreline.
However, Ilaji FC responded quickly a minute later with Ogundepo Azeez scoring the second goal.
At the 86th minute, a clear handball in box via a set piece earned the league debutant a penalty which was converted by Atilola Abdulsalam. The sides had to settle for a point each.
