NLO PRE-SEASON: AROLE DONATES TROPHY TO OYO FA

Former Chiarman, Oyo State Sports Council, Honourable Gbenga Adewusi fondly called 'Arole' has described football as a unifying factor, money spinning business and urged talented youths to take advantage of the game to better their lots.
Hon. Adewusi, who served as chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government between 2003 and 2010, made the remarks when he donated a giant all gold trophy to the Oyo State Football Association ahead of the final match of the maiden edition of the 2024 Nation-wide/Non-league clubs pre-season tournament billed for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Olubadan stadium.
Arole, a graduate of Human Kinetics from the University of Ibadan and a former Sports Trainer and staunch supporter to President Olusegun Obasanjo told OyoSportsNews it's important private companies and individuals give adequate attention youth and sports development.
The maiden edition which had seven nationwide league clubs in Oyo, Ogun and Ondo state with five non-league clubs [ Oyomesi FC, Cornerstone FC, Sult De King FC, Adeyemi FC, Adamimogo FC, Best Talent FC, Brightville FC, RFO FC, PSI Int'l, Black Scorpion FC, AZTEC FA and Positive FC] is expected to come to an end tomorrow with the final between Adamimogo FC from Ogun state and the winner between Sult De King FC and Oyomesi FC at 3pm while this third place match is slated for 1pm.
In his remark, Oyo State Football Association Chairman, HRM Oba James Odeniran through the association secretary Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo described Hon Arole as a man of class and standard, who had always shown his love for sports; particularly football. Oyo FA also commended Arole for the consistent roles he had played in its support for the numerous sports development programmes in Oyo state.
