Head Coach of Shooting Stars Team B Ayodeji Charles Adeyemo has said his players are in good shape and battle ready for the 2023/24 Nationwide League One season, which kicks off on Sunday.
The Oluyole Warriors junior team will again participate at the Nationwide league after making it to the final playoff last season against Osun United. They will face Ilaji FC, Ogbomoso United, Positive FC, Cornerstone FC, Black Scorpion FC, Oyomesi FC and Oye Olohun Travels &Tours FC in a round-robin format.
“It is a great honour to have maintained our status at the NLO. We fought hard last season, but we were unable to secure the ticket to the national league. Despite having good outings, football is what it is. We are always ready for any competition, as a matter of fact, we take all matches serious, including friendlies."
"Our players are in good form and always committed, don't forget that we are playing the IFA league; so, our match fitness and form are intact and always ready for NLO."
"I think we have like three new teams in our group, and I believed every team would want to come harder on us because of our name. However, it's normal football."
Adeyemo also shares his joy and thanks for the management of Shooting Stars led by the club Chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan 'Akoro'.
"We were able to promote some players to the main team. That's a good revelation and achievement for Team B technical crew. Also, we made it to the final play, I think we are proud of ourselves, knowing fully well that we must do more. I also want to thank our able Chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan and the enitre management for the support and commitment to the Team B project."
