Ogundeji Joel has been confirmed as the new head coach of Oye OlohunTravels & Tours Football Club.
Following the club decision on Wednesday's afternoon under the chairmanship of Alhaji Saliu Tajudeen Kolawole ahead of their first ever outing at the Nationwide League One. 'Oguns' has spoken to the media ahead of the round-robin format with other top league teams in Oyo state.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews about his appointment, Oguns said: “I am extremely happy to return to coaching, and to do so at a Nation-wide League club that I so much gave passion for because it's closer to the grassroots level. As an advocate for talents development, I'm excited, overwhelmed and fulfilled."
"The job has started few months ago, but right now it's official and Oye Olohun Travels & Tours Football Club is my new home. Right now, job has started and it's a big task for us in the league. I've been in the league with some clubs, the experience is there. Although, clubs might be different but with the level of our preparations and players, we are good to go."
"The chairman of the club is passionate about football. His contributions during the pre-season were awesome, the only thing left is to give our best by getting positive results starting from Sunday in Ibadan. I want to call on all sons and daughters of Saki and Oke-Ogun at large living and doing business in Ibadan to support us during our matches. We promise not to disappoint them."
