Shooting Stars assistant coach, Yinka Popoola has warned that the team will need "an even stronger mentality" if they want to retain the Premier League status this season.
Yinka Popoola also known as 'Gullit' stated that the Oluyole Warriors must win their last three home matches if they are to escape relegation.
3SC fell to defeat in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 32 against Dakkada by 2-0 and were left with three home matches against Plateau United, Abia Warriors and Rivers United.
With 39points from 32 league matches, Popoola believed the team will surely escape relegation if victory can be achieved in these fixtures.
"We came here to get something but it was unfortunate that we lost and we must accept it. The most important thing is going back home and win our games. We have three more games at home and we must win them and it means we are safe. We need to change our mentality and do more."
"We are thesame team that played against Enyimba, the only thing is to change the mentality and change the rhythms of winning our games."
The former Shooting Stars U15 team coach in 2017 also gave his overall assessment on the match.
"It was a very good game, both teams did very well. I give it to Dakkada FC for taking the day. We had our chances but it was unfortunate we couldn't convert it. We had the best chance before we concede but that is football, we need to work on our lapses because that has been the problem, - even going away. We need to do more."
Shooting Stars next league match is against Plateau United.
