NLO: ILAJI FC, TIMI GIANTS IN SIX GOAL THRILLER + PENALTY

Timi Giants twice blew the lead as a thrilling 3-3 draw at Ilaji stadium on Wednesday afternoon saw Coach Babatunde Odubola's men dropped points for the first time at home at the Nationwide League One matchday 9 fixture.
For the very first time at home, Ilaji FC under thier manage and Head Coach Babatunde Odubola were down by two goals in the opening thirteen minutes after two defensive errors at the sixth and thirteen minutes of play gave the visitors a deserve lead.
Recall that the 'Sanusi Boys' played one-all draw at the first fixture to round off the first stanza but it was a six goal thriller at the reverse leg.
After two goals down, Ilaji FC were awarded a penalty kick at the 23rd minute but could not be converted as Timi Giants goalie rescued his team with a superb save. Surprisingly, delay tactics by the goal tender begins.

Azeez Olateju reduced the tally for Ilaji FC at the 35th minute to end the first half 1-2 in favour of the visitors. 
However, three minutes (48th minute) at the restart of second half, Boluwatife Ogungbayi then got the much needed equalizer, only for the visitors to take the lead again for the second time three minutes later.
After several delay tactics by Timi Giants stopper, Boluwatife Ogungbayi scored a goal mouth scramble in the box at the 87th.
Speaking after the match, Babatunde Odubola told OyoSportsNews that his boys gave their hearts to win the match but football is full of surprises.
"In terms of ball possessions, attacking threats, corner kicks, shot on goals and attempts, I think we did very well but football is just unpredictable. Though the delay tactics doesn't help but if we had converted our chances, we won't be here talking about draw or a point."
They got two good goals and we try to fight back and we got three goals but we were unlucky not to have taken the lead with wide margin. Football is full of surprises and strange results, sometimes your performance on the pitch doesn't reflect the result but we have to take it and move ahead. We shall go back to drawing board and do the needful, the table is still open and we are on course."
