IFA CONGRATULATES SAKI UTD, SUPPORTS TEAM WITH #50,000

Ibadan Football Association ( IFA) has congratulated the 2022 Oyo State AITEO CUP champions, Saki United for being the first non-League team to win the trophy,just as it supports the team with the sum of #50,000 naira.
A press statement signed by the chairman of Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Barr. Rotimi Alli noted that the Association knew that Saki Utd would go places in the AITEO Competition going by its consistent and superlative showing in the recently concluded IFA League .
He lauded the resilience, doggedness and sense of purpose displayed by the club against 3SC when it came back from a losing position to win the semi-final cracker in one of the greatest comebacks of the AITEO CUP.
Alli urged the club to maintain its present form and avoid complacency which could derail the ambitions of the club in the National AITEO Competition.
While announcing the donation of #50,000 to assist the club in its preparations against the forth-coming National Championship, the IFA boss charged football enthusiasts and corporate bodies in the state to support Saki United financially to overcome logistics problem.
Alli expressed optimism that the club would spring surprises on the National scene and do the State proud if given the necessary incentives and motivation.
The cheque presentation ceremony will come up next Tuesday at 3pm inside the Olubadan Stadium Hostel Hall.
