JUSTICE T.A.A FOUNDATION DONATES TROPHY FOR 2022 OYO AITEO CUP

Engineer Adebola Ayorinde, son of former Oyo State Chief Judge and Solicitor-General, Late Justice Timothy Adebayo Adediran Ayorinde has donated a giant trophy for a team that would emerge winner of 2022 Oyo State Aiteo Cup. Engineer Adebola Ayorinde presented the trophy on Tuesday evening to the Oyo State Football Association under the chairmanship of Oba Chief James Ọdẹníran.
The U.S based Engineer donated a giant silver trophy, 30 gold medals as well as 25 silver and 25 bronze medals on behalf of Justice T.A.A foundation at a short presentation event held at the Lekan Salami stadium.
While addressing the state football association executive and stakeholders before the presentation, Engr Adebola noted that donation was done in honour of late Justin T.A.A Ayorinde to provide support in different areas of society.
"We've set up a foundation in honour of his name (my late Dad) to provide support in different areas like education, sports and other areas that concern youths. Initially, we wanted to give educational support and we've set up children and youth libraries but we also want to involve sports because there is a relationship between peace and unity and it also serve as an extension for youth development. We are not going to stop on football but also on other sports, we hope we have more resources because we also focus on grassroots development.
"I'm a fan of Shooting Stars back in the 70s and I used to know the team as IICC Shooting Stars while Mudashiru Lawal was my favourite player.
I remembered I watch them play against Tonnere Kalala of Cameroon at liberty stadium."
Engr Adebola also commended Governor Seyi Makinde led administration for the remodelled of Lekan Salami stadium.
Reacting, Oyo state football association chairman, Chief James Ọdẹníran who received the items expressed his gratitude to Engr Adebola for the gesture stating that it was very rare to have such donation coming from a non profitable foundation at this time when the country’s economy is not so healthy.
Dignitaries present at the presentation event are; Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Sports development, Mr Tobi Oyewumi, Shooting Stars Chairman, Hon Babatunde Olaniyan, Oyo FA vice chairman, Comrade Isaac Ayangbile, Chairman Ibadan Football Association, Barrister Rotimi Alli, Oyo FA secretary, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo, Mr Michael Oladeni and other football stakeholders.
