Crown FC of Ogbomoso Head Coach Anthony Encho was left unimpressed by his team's first-half performance against Ottasolo FC of Lagos.
The Ajilete Warriors were unlucky to take the lead at the first 45 minutes after several scoring chances. Efforts made by Crown FC attackers, Yussuf Taiwo, Oluwaseyi Okeowo and Olaitan Fabode were denied by Ismaila Isah. - The Ottasolo stopper received a bizarre yellow card at the 36th minute after indulging in some strange time-wasting antics right from the kick-off.
After a goalless result at halftime, the Ajilete Warriors put in a better shift in the second-half with more intensity in the final third. A cross from Oluwaseyi Okeowo appeared to have touched Ottasolo FC defender which resulted to a spot kick as awarded by the centre referee.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Anthony Encho was left with few positives to take from 1-0 win over Ottasolo.
"It was a tough game, a derby match. Ottasolo Coach had worked here before - so everyone is excited to see the ability of the coaches and players. They also came here with delay tactics, we didn't play up to 30minutes at the first half, their goalkeeper was just falling down so it really affected the spirit of my players and they lost concentration and we also find it difficult to get a goal at the first half, I'm not happy with the first half performance."
"At the second half, I told the players to display our style of play because we need to score and win. There is need for us to work on our finishing and make sure we keep scoring goals and concede less. The league table is tight and goal difference might count at the end of the season."
Crown FC next match is against Go-Round FC and Anthony Encho also assured fans and supporters of positive result.
"Our next match is against Go Round, it won't be easy because they are among the contenders on the log, so we must make sure we get something good next weekend. I know how they play and what it entails, by the special grace of God, we promise to get good results.
