Head Coach Baba Ganaru said lack of concentration and injuries were the major reasons for his team 3-0 loss to Shooting Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 23.
The Ortom boys were pummeled by the Oluyole Warriors 3-0; with a first half brace by Emmanuel Lucky and Ayo Adejubu's 80th goal ensured a convincing win for 3SC. Lobi stars also had Tony Agbaji sent off at the 45+3 minute and Baba Ganaru is optimistic his team will not go down.
"This is a match we plan to pick something, if not winning but at least a draw. To me, I'm surprised with the result, it was a very shock one. We conceded cheap goals and most of our players were out due to muscle strain and I've exhausted my changes."
After about sixteen days in charge of the team and with four games so far as Lobi Stars new head coach, Baba Ganaru is optimistic that his team wouldn't relegate.
"I'm very optimistic, we are on course and we won't relegate. If you look at it, today is my 16th or 15th days with the team, there are so many improvement and sometimes it takes time for players to adapt to your philosophy. As I said, we are on course, very optimistic and I will take the team out of relegation." He assured.
