Former Shooting Stars and ABS FC head coach Festus Allen says he is "proud" of his side's performance despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Crown FC at the matchday eleven of the Nigeria National League held yesterday at the LAUTECH football pitch, Ogbomoso. The away side played a goalless half-time score after missing scoring chances at the opening five minute, but conceded a goal 46 seconds at the restart of the second-half.
The defeat keeps Cynosure FC 13th on the southern group B2 table with eight points after nine matches having three game in hand.
Speaking to newsmen after the match, Festus Allen is happy and proud with the performance of his boys and also believe Cynosure FC won't relegate.
"The match has been won and loss, it was a keenly contested game and I will give it to my boys for thier doggedness in this game, they played very well."
"We conceded that lone goal due to lack of concentration and communication from my defender and goalkeeper, it was a minute that cost us this match."
Festus Allen also remain optimistic that his team won't go down despite thier position on the log.
"Those who know me - know my antecedent, I have four outstanding matches to play and the points between the top teams is about six to seven. We won't relegate." He assured.
