ANTHONY ENCHO BEMOANS "UNUSUAL" DEFENSIVE ERRORS

Crown FC Head Coach Anthony Encho has blamed Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Ottasolo on "unusual" defensive errors from his side.

Lack of communication from the trio of Goalkeeper Sunday Adejare, Ugochukwu Anozie and Oluwole Johnson let a through-ball go for the first goal as Fred Obi grabbed the first goal via a header at the 23rd minute.

Sunday Adejare again at the 53rd minute failed to react to Ekpeyong Emmanuel's cross as Adeosun Ibrahim doubled the tally for the homers.

The Ajilete Warriors after several wasted scoring chances reduced the tally courtesy of Meshack Dennis solo finish in the box.

Speaking to OyoSportsNews, Encho admits that the result was not what he wanted in a South-West derby, but did praise the efforts of fans for thier massive supports. 

"I was very disappointed on Saturday with the result, It was a match we played with full determination, commitment and solid preparation. The defensive error really cost us the match but I would like to thank the fans for their massive support and also want to plead to them to continued given us their usual support and believed in GOD and our togetherness."

"We know our primary objective, which is to secure the promotion ticket to the elite league, we keep on looking forward to win the remaining games before the end of first round. We are not going to give up, our objective will be accomplished by the special grace of God.

Encho also promised to work on the team spirit and necessary areas.

"We need to work extra hard, we are going to work extremely very hard in some of the areas that we have lapses.

Crown FC currently sit 9th position on the Nigeria National League Group B2 standings with 11 points after eight mayches. The Ajilete Warriors will be at home this Wednesday at the LAUTECH football pitch against Sporting FC of Lagos in matchday 11 fixture.
