The Ajilete Warriors boss remains frustrated with his side's ability to find the net and thinks that it has been his side's biggest problem after nine matches.
Anthony Encho believes poor finishing is affecting his team despite having a good start at the ongoing Nigeria National League 2021/2022 season.
Crown FC beat Sporting Lagos FC 1-0 on Wednesday thanks to Oginni Olatunbosun injury time goal from the spot, but wasted many chances to score after having nine shots from inside the away side's penalty area.
Meshack Dennis is currently the team top scorer with four goals closely followed by Oginni Olatunbosun with goals - all from the spot.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews, Anthony Encho pinpointed Crown FC's inability to finish teams off as their number one problem this season.
"Yesterday's match against Sporting Lagos FC was not so easy because our opponent has master our style of play and they force my team to play the same. I discovered that they are playing but defensive pattern, I switched my pattern, change the strategy and put in more attackers to mount pressure in the attacking third in the opposition half, but we were wasteful in front of goals."
"We lost most of our clear chances in the first half but I'm still happy with the result because we need to keep wining so as to top the league table. We have a lot to work with our attackers, our finishing is not to good we have a lot to do."
At the Nigeria National League Southern Conference Group B2 standings, Crown FC have accrued fourteen points in nine league matches with a game at hand against Bayelsa United.
The Ajilete Warriors will travel to Ijebu ode this weekend for matchday 12 against Ijebu United at the Dipo Dina stadium.
