Shooting Stars Head Coach, Edith Olumide Agoye said there is no excuse for his team loss to Nasarawa United after a good first half performance. Agoye categorically stated that the incident which occurred at the halftime most especially at the away team locker room and match officials room gave the home team the win.
In another related report posted on Shooting Stars official Facebook page at halftime. The post stated:
"Happening now.
Nasarawa United fans on  rampage.
Threaten to attack match referees.
Assaults 3SC Acting GM Dimeji Lawal, other officials as they tried to invade 3SC dressing room."
Agoye said: "It is very difficult to give any reason; otherwise it will look like an excuse. It was a very good first half but the incident that happened at the end of the first half determine who won this game today. In the dressing room, in the carbin of the referee (match officials), that was what determined who won this game”
When asked by newsmen to reveal the ordeal, Agoye told journalists to do their findings. He noted that the team will return to Ibadan and recharge their batteries.
Two second half goals by Adamu Hassan and Shammasu Mohammed gave the Solid Miners the much needed three points.
