Shooting Stars boss Edith Olumide Agoye has again defended Gafar Olafimihan's performance for 3SC after the striker again misfired in a deserved 3-0 win over Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 23.
New signing Emmanuel Lucky grabbed brace at the 3rd and 18th minutes while Ayo Adejubu capped it at the 80th to roundoff a deserved victory for the Oluyole Warriors after a winless run.
OyoSportsNews at the post match interview with Agoye shortly after the match believed that Gafar Olafimihan misfiring form should be a big concern for the coaching staff but head coach Edith Agoye is solidly behind the club top scorer at the Nigeria National League season 2020/2021.
"Sometimes, players undergo this period; they call it jinx in football terms. It's unfortunate that our top scorer in NNL is not finding his fit but for today's game, although he didn't score but he made big contribution, he was the thorn in the flesh of Lobi Stars defense. His efforts resulted to a red card of one of the defenders. He has not scored but he's done a wonderful job in the game today.
Agoye believed Gafar Olafimihan will definitely find it easy very soon with the Oluyole Warriors.
