NLO: ILAJI FC TRASH EASYWELL 6-0 TO MAINTAIN TOP SPOT

Ilaji FC become the first team at the Nationwide League One 2021/22 season to score 38 league goals after matchday 15 with six-nil win over visiting Easywell FC at Ilaji football pitch.
Ilaji FC duo, Adeyemi Salem and Mustapha Bolaji were among the scorers as they brushed aside Easywell FC from Ogun state to maintain thier position on the NLO group C2 standings.
Ilaji FC had no such troubles going into the match after Adeyemi Salem scored the opener in less than a minute [49secs] from kick-off. Mustapha Bolaji doubled the tally at the 25th minute before Tajudeen Sodiq grabbed the third goal at the 33rd minute to send the two teams to halftime break.
The Sanusi Boys returned from the break on that three goal advantage and it stay that way for 16seconds as Oladosu Mubarak got the fourth goal. Adeyemi Salem and Mustapha Bolaji both got thier second goals at the 55th and 74th minutes to take the final score to six.
Statistically, the Akanran based side had won seven of thier eight home matches with just a draw, their previous three home league matches against Timi Giants, Abraysports and Easywell had produced twelve goals by an aggregate score of 12-4.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Ilaji FC manager and head coach Babatunde Odubola lauded the players efforts and gave his overall assessment on home records.
"Today, we gave good account of ourselves right from kickoff, the players were brilliant in front of goals and it paid off. Scoring three goals in a each half with a clean sheet is good for us and we are rounding off the season with a match to go."
"For me, it's one of the best seasons I have experienced as a manager. I wouldn't say the best, but one of the best for sure. To have scored highest number of goals at home and overall as a newcomer in Nigeria league is good for us, We still have a game to wrap up the season against HMK FC but I'm satisfied with our overall performance this season."
"I think we show good character, and consistency and we never allow complacency. This is good for us as a team." He concluded
