Oyo State Housing Corporation FC may have a historic mindset and achievement in their sights but head coach Sanusi Musiliu Kolawole'Ikerika' insisted that pressure is not a factor as his side prepare to face Jigawa Golden Stars today at the Nigeria Football Federation 2022 Aiteo Cup round of 64 fixture holding Bako Kontagora stadium, Minna formerly known as Minna township stadium.
Oyo State Housing Corporation FC, who have already secured promotion to the Nationwide League II after thier brilliant performance at Ilorin center in Kwara state, must beat Jigawa Golden Stars at 7,000 thousand capacity stadium this afternoon at 4:00PM.
Ilerika told OyoSportsNews early Saturday ahead of the knock out cracker. "I cannot talk about pressure for the other team, but for us there is no pressure," said the former Oyo State Sports Council football team coach better known as TeamOyo, whose team finished second at the GSM preseason tournament and state Aiteo Cup.
"For me, it's a game like any other, which will be very, very difficult, Jigawa Golden Stars are not push over in Nigeria football, they've played at the Nigeria Professional Football League level before they got relegated and thier performance on the Nigeria National League northern group standings are not bad, though promotion race is over for them as Doma United emerged table topper. We will be ready. I know we will be ready and we will do everything we can to win this game."
At the Minna Township stadium, Oyo state Aiteo Cup champions Saki United will also battle Katsina United tomorrow at 2:00PM. The Asabari warriors from Oke Ogun defeated Sokoto Professionals two-nil at the rookies playoff on Monday.
