BASKETBALL: TEAM OYO EMERGES FIRST IN SOUTHWEST SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT

Oyo state Champion and representative at the South West Secondary school basketball tournament, Yejide Girls' Grammar School came first in the female category in the finals of Southwest Secondary Schools Basketball Competitions organised by the Southwest Basketball Association. Yejide Girls Grammar School beat David Hall College Lagos with 43points to 26points.
Lagos state champion Top Field School emerged first in the male category. They also defeated their colleagues from Vitrolli Secondary School, Ogun State which came second and the King's International College, Moniya, Ibadan took the third position.
Chairman, Oyo State Sports Council Hon Gbenga Adewusi 'Arole' expressed his happiness over the success of the competition that had two secondary schools from six states.

Trophies and Medals were given to winners at the final event while second and third position received silver and bronze medals.
