The city of Ibadan will once again celebrate one of its finest voices in sports broadcasting as Kenny Samson Ogunmiloro, General Manager of Blast FM and renowned sportscaster with Fresh FM Nigeria, unveils his second book, "Through My Eyes", on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
The new work, which carries a foreword by music icon and broadcaster Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON), captures 40 compelling stories from Ogunmiloro’s life, reflecting his defining moments across four decades. It chronicles personal triumphs, challenges, and milestones that have shaped his values and purpose, particularly in the dynamic world of sports media and business.
Fondly called Radio Friend, Ogunmiloro is widely respected for his unmatched dedication to sports commentary and analysis. For over a decade, he has been a consistent voice promoting Nigerian sports, nurturing young talents, and elevating sports discourse on radio to global standards. His ability to sustain excellence in sports casting while mentoring the next generation of broadcasters has earned him admiration within and outside the media industry.
Ogunmiloro first ventured into publishing in 2022 with "Tips to Becoming a Respected Sport OAP" [foreword by Godwin Enakhena], a practical guide that continues to inspire aspiring sports presenters. His upcoming launch of Through My Eyes coincides with his 40th birthday, a milestone he intends to mark with a private dinner and book presentation in Ibadan, hosting about 80 distinguished guests.
To give back to his audience, Ogunmiloro has reserved 50 seats for fans who pre-order the book at N10,000, further demonstrating his bond with his loyal listeners.
“This gathering goes beyond a book launch. It is a celebration of friendship, shared memories, and the power of sports to connect lives,” he said.
In his tradition of community impact, Ogunmiloro announced that, with the support of the Dr. Akeem Omotosho Foundation (UK), ten small business owners across Ibadan will receive financial support to grow their enterprises.
In addition, a lucky guest will win a pair of shoes courtesy of Brace Footwear, one of the ventures under Ogunmiloro’s Brace brand, which also includes Brace Radio and Brace Barbershop.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
