CLUB STORE BUZZ: SHOOTING STARS MERCHANDISE SALES HIT OVER N4.2M IN THREE WEEKS

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has recorded an unprecedented success in merchandise sales, generating over N4.2 million within three weeks from the sales of branded items.
The Chief Operating Officer of the club, Mr. Bunmi Fadayomi, revealed exclusively to OyoSportsNews that the impressive revenue was generated through sales of home and away replica jerseys, face caps, mugs, and towels at the club’s official store located inside the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba. He further disclosed that the store operates from Mondays to Saturdays, as well as on every matchday, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., ensuring fans have regular access to the merchandise.
According to him, the club sold 245 replica jerseys, 95 caps, 45 towels, 40 mugs, and 30 footstones, marking a historic milestone in the club’s commercial drive. He noted that sales peaked on the opening day of the new NPFL season when Shooting Stars hosted Bayelsa United.
Fadayomi also disclosed that the management has concluded arrangements to introduce new merchandise, including keyrings, which will be available before the Matchday Three fixture against Ikorodu City.
Speaking on the club’s broader vision, he emphasized that the management, under the leadership of Honourable Taiwo Lekan-Salami, is determined to reposition, rebrand, and restructure the Oluyole Warriors. He explained that their goal is to make Shooting Stars a globally recognized football brand, backed by innovation and a strong push to return the club to continental football.
Fadayomi further revealed plans to launch an online ordering platform for fans to conveniently purchase club merchandise, with swift deliveries through a partnership with a logistics company.
The remarkable sales feat has been attributed to the unwavering loyalty and passion of the club’s supporters. The management expressed profound appreciation to the fans, acknowledging their crucial role in the club’s steady resurgence.
Shooting Stars’ leadership has also reaffirmed its commitment to deepening fan engagement, enhancing matchday experiences, and bringing the club even closer to its teeming supporters.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary.
