Ilaji FM sportscaster, Oladimeji Ibraheem Akolade, popularly known as ImoleSports, is set to unveil his first book titled “You As A Sport Journalist” on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resorts, Ibadan.
The book, published under the banner of ImoleSports Entertainment, explores the guiding principles of sports journalism, broadcasting, and the ever-evolving world of sports. It also offers an illuminating dive into the history of sports, with rich translations and interpretations of sports terminology in the Yoruba language.
Notably, the book highlights seven essential keys to success as a sports presenter, making it both a practical manual for aspiring journalists and a refreshing guide for practicing broadcasters.
Oladimeji, who began his career at Premier 93.5FM, before moving to Fresh 105.9FM and Success 105.3FM, Ibadan, has over the past ten years distinguished himself as one of the most consistent Yoruba sports voices on radio. Through his platform, ImoleSports TV, and his popular daily programme “Idan N’lo” on Ilaji 91.9FM, he has continued to educate, entertain, and inspire sports enthusiasts across Oyo State and beyond.
The upcoming launch has received endorsements from prominent figures including the Chairman of Oba Ara Local Government, Honourable Kolapo Temitope Glorious, alongside other political leaders, sports stakeholders, and members of the Yoruba Sports Broadcasting Association (YOSBA), Oyo State chapter.

As the countdown to the event begins, loyal listeners and admirers of ImoleSports are urged to turn out in their numbers to celebrate this landmark achievement. The book launch is not only a personal milestone for Oladimeji but also a testament to the growth of indigenous sports broadcasting and its role in shaping the next generation of sports journalists.

The Oluyole Warriors, after their qualification to round 32 early this morning without kicking the ball, following the refusal of Zamfara United FC to show up for the round of 64 fixture at the Area 3 field, Abuja have been expelled from the oldest football competition in Nigeria. In a letter signed by the director for competition, Ruth David, on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary. Five players who were not registered with the Nigeria Football Federation for this year edition were fielded in today's match against Zamfara United.
