OYO FA PROPOSES PRE-SEASON TOURNEY FOR NLO CLUBS, MATCHES TO HOLD IN DIFFERENT VENUES

The Oyo State Football Association under the Chairmanship of HRM Oba James Odeniran, the Alakinyele of Akinyele has proposed a 5-day pre-season tournament for Nationwide league one clubs in Oyo state.A statement made available to OyoSportsNews through the association secretary Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo explained that Durbar stadium in Oyo town, Iseyin township stadium, Iseyin and Olubadan stadium will be the venues for the registered and licensed clubs.
"As of today from the secretariat of NLO in Abuja, we have Ilaji FC, Ibadan Ogbomoso United FC, Ogbomoso, Corner Stone FC, Ibadan, Positive FC, Ibadan, Professional Sports International, Ibadan, 3SC Team B, Ibadan, Oye Olohun FC, Saki, Oyomesi FC, Oyo and league debutant Black Scorpion, FC, Ogbomoso and Oyo Housing FC as teams that have registered for the forthcoming nationwide league one.""Two teams will be added to make twelve teams where there will be four groups while match venues will be Iseyin, Oyo and Ibadan."
"The purpose of this pre-season is to ensure that teams have solid preparations and test their players' performances, techniques, and fitness."
Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo added that April 3rd to 7th has been tentatively picked, while registration fee is N50,000.00. He also called on interested clubs to contact the state football governing body through 08030704789 and 08160849109.
