Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso General Manager Mr Olamide Ilupeju has apologised
to the Crown FC fans after watching his team knocked out of the 2024 Oyo State Federation Cup.
Crown FC were on bye at the National League weekend fixtures but were on duty at the Durbar stadium on Saturday at the federation cup semi-final fixture against Ilaji FC.
First half goal by Babalola Okikiola at the 31st minute broke the hearts of the Ajilete fans after their darling club were shown the exit door of the federation cup for the third consecutive time.
Recall that the Ogbomoso based side were booted out in 2022 by Oyo State Housing Corporation FC via penalties and by Iseyin Rocks in 2023. On Saturday afternoon, they suffered another catastrophic 1-0 loss to Ilaji FC 
Speaking to OyoSportsNews Olamide Ilupeju said; “It is a bad outing for us and all we can say is sorry to our loving fans and supporters. We planned extremely hard to be at the final and win the federation cup. This was one of the targets we set before the commencement of the season, unfortunately it wasn't so. Now, this is not the time to point the finger or look to blame people. We win together, and we lose together. No one would be happy for this result.

“We were down at half-time and needed an early goal in the second half but couldn’t find it. We created chances but unlucky to score. I want to seize this medium to appeal to our fans and supporters for this result. This is certainly a difficult moment for me and the team, I'm unhappy and disappointed.
“We must forget about it as soon as possible and look ahead to the Nigeria National League fixture this coming Saturday. We have brighter chances to secure promotion, so this results must not affect us." He submitted.
