The Chief Executive Officer of Cool Global Interlinks Travels, Alhaji Hamzat Ismail Kolade Oba has donated two set complete football jerseys, individuals awards to the Oyo State Football Association ahead of tomorrow’s 2024 Oyo State Federation Cup final.

Alhaji Hamzat's donation and presentation held today in his Ibadan office at 72, Adekunle Fajuyi road, opposite Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan between the state football governing body under the chairmanship of HRM Oba James Odeniran and the management of Cool Global Interlinks Travels.

The donation of 18jerseys, each for the finalist, awards for the best coach, most valuable player of the competition, best goalkeeper, and best goal scorer were received on behalf of the Oyo state football association by the executive members, Chief Mutiu Adepoju 'Headmaster' and Coach Michael Oladeni.

The Chairman, Cool Global Interlinks Travels, said the donation, which has been a yearly gesture, was to encourage teams, players, coaches and at large, the state football governing body.

"This is the sixth time Cool Global Interlinks Travels) is doing this for the state football association. We are glad to associate ourselves with the state FA and shall continue to support and promote football in the state. These awards are meant to encourage players, coaches, and teams; the competition is one of the oldest footballing events in Nigeria and it deserves good rewards and recognition."

Alhaji Hamzat Oba added that, going by the economic situation in the country, private investors, companies, football lovers and individuals must support sports at any capacity.

On his part, Chief Mutiu Adepoju (MON), on behalf of Oyo state football association thanked the donor for it annual gestures. He described it as a moral booster to football in Oyo state.

"On behalf of the state Chairman, HRM Oba James Odeniran, we want to appreciate your donation to the association. It has been a yearly donation, and highly commended. We appreciate this and will pray for God's guidance and blessings in your endeavours."

Receiving the set of jerseys on behalf of Shooting Stars and Ilaji FC managements, Shooting Stars Administrative Secretary Babayemi Tomiwa and Coach Abayomi Adigun and Kit manager, Mr Majolagbe Kolawole 'Major' alongside Ilaji FC general manager, coach Babatunde Odubola and coach Sesan Ogundele thanked the donor and wished him well in his future projects.

Also present at the donation and presentation event, Cool Global Interlinks Travels Public Relations Officer, Mr Azeez Adeniran, Secretary, Miss Adejoke Adebayo and Manager, Mr Tobeeb.

Shooting Stars and Ilaji FC emerged finalists after beating Adeyemi FC (1-0) and Crown FC (1-0) respectively. Final match holds tomorrow at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. Time at 4pm.
