As part of his avowed commitment to promote and develop football in Oyo state, former Chief Justice of the Western Region, Justice T.A.A Ayorinde (late) through his Foundation which was set up by families amd friends has again donated a brand new, all gold, giant-size trophy, 30gold and 25silver medals to the Oyo State Football Association ahead of the grand finale of 2024 Oyo State Federation Cup billed to hold tomorrow, Saturday, March 31st at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
It is the second consecutive new trophy, the foundation is donating to the state football association having donated the last edition by Engineer Adebola Ayorinde.
Speaking at the donation and presentation event held at the main bowl of Lekan Salami Sports Complex on behalf of the foundation, Mrs Bolanle Adesina Ayorinde described football as a major unifying force needed to preach peace and advance the course of human existence in any society.
Mrs Adesina Ayorinde expressed further that the foundation since it inception has extended it gestures amd benevolence to other less privilege groups, organisations, societies and communities in honour and respect of the late Justice Ayorinde. She thanked the state football association under the chairmanship of HRM Oba James Odeniran for welcoming and accepting thier donations.
In his remarks, A member of the Oyo State Football Association, Coach Michael Oladeni alongside Chief Mutiu Adepoju (MON) thanked Late Justice T.A.A Ayorinde Foundation for its unwavering commitment to supporting the association through its annual competition and for putting smiles on the faces of the players and whoever emerge Champions. He also commended the foundation for her steady donation which has beautiful one of the oldest footballing events in Nigeria and Oyo state.
Also speaking, Chiarman Major Sporting International and Shooting Stars Kit Manager Majolagbe Kolawole thanked the donor for encouraging and believing in his vision to promote and develop football in Oyo state.
