TEAM OYO FINISHES 5TH WITH 36 MEDALS AT 2ND NATIONAL PARA GAMES

Team Oyo has finished fifth on the overall medals table at the 2023 National Para Games in Abuja, the federal capital territory.
The athletes amassed 36 medals — eleven gold, sixteen silver, and nine bronze — to rank fifth behind Bayelsa state, Abia state, Kano state and Lagos state at the end of the competition on Thursday.
Bayelsa state were clearly above the standings with a total of 74 medals, followed by Abia state (35 medals), Kano state (44 medals) and Lagos state (51 medals).
Team Oyo grabbed eleven gold medals in canoeing, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball men and women categories, powerlifting, athletics, table tennis and cycling events.
