The former Warri Wolves handler joined the former premier league side last season after the sack of Toyin Ayinla, who until the last matchday of the NNL22 escaped relegation.
Omiponle in a chat with OyoSportsNews after losing to Crown FC by 2-0 admitted that his team were psychologically down, and were behind Crown FC's match fitness level due to the sudden decision made by the Nigeria National League body after late registration. He confessed that his team made costly mistakes against Crown FC but promised to put his house in order in tomorrow's match.
"We made some mistakes against Crown FC. They were better than us because we were psychologically down after being booted out of the league a few weeks ago. We shall go to the tactical board, correct our mistakes and not to repeat them against Osun United."
"I think we also wasted few chances, but Crown FC, having played two league matches, had an edge over us in term of match fitness. We are just coming up, we'll get something in Osogbo."
