The general manager of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso Mr Olamide Ilupeju has called on his players to give an immediate response to 2-1 defeat against Tradesafe FC of Lagos.
The Ajilete Warriors lost at the injury time on Monday in the matchday four of the Nigeria National League held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos. Adekunle Mojeed, who had levelled the game at the 81st minute for Coach Raheem Tajudeen tutored side finally lost matchday four tie in the 90+6 minute after three matches unbeaten run.
Olamide Ilupeju believes Crown FC's players have the "character" to bounce back and numb the pain of the last minute defeat when they host Warri Wolves on Saturday at the Soun stadium, Ogbomoso.
"Warri Wolves is our next game and after a very disappointing result against TradesafeFC, it's important for us to come back with a strong result. Promotion ticket is our absolute priority because that is the target set before us by the state governor Engineer Seyi Makinde."
"These players have fantastic spirit and character and they can show that on Saturday, we are left with no choice than to respond quickly. We want to respond from disappointments."
"The quality of our performance is good and that is the satisfaction I personally derived for the defeat, It's now down to how the players to respond and I trust my players to respond in a very strong way on Saturday. "
Despite having won their opening three games at the ongoing campaign, Olamide Ilupeju also warned there can be no complacency against a team who is yet to get point on the road.
