Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso boss Raheem Tajudeen has praised the performance of his team despite seeing them lose 2-1 to Tradesafe FC of Lagos.
Akintade Oluwaseun's penalty at the 44th minute gave Tradesafe FC the lead after a glearing handball in the box, the converted kick gave the host lead at halftime.
Efforts to get the leveller paid off at the 81st minute after Adekunle Mojeed, Adekunle Olowokere, and Jonathan Osondu were brought in for Oluwaseyi Okeowo, Rasheed Olaniran and Obi Iwueke respectively. A corner kick by Kamorudeen Ogunjobi found the head of Adekunle Mojeed in the box at the 81st as the Ajilete Warriors got the leveller.
With seven minutes of additional time to end the proceedings, Tradesafe FC got the winner at the 90+6 minute from two touches free-kick pattern.
Speaking to OyoSportsNews after the match, Raheem Tajudeen said; "My opinion on the performance is that every defeat hurts but for me personally the ones that hurt less is when you give everything and you go without any regrets."
"The players did thier best, infact, I'm extremely happy with the reponse after we were down at the first half. The substitutions made were absolutely amazing and effective, they all did their best but results come in three ways, win, lose or draw. It's a bitter pills to have lost at the injury time but we take positives from the match and move on to the next match."
"Right now, we must forget the result in Lagos and bounce back to winning ways. Warri Wolves is the next opponent on Saturday, my players must stay focus." He concluded.
