BASKETBALL: 13 TEAMS JOSTLE FOR HONOURS AT PROPELLA 3X3 CHALLENGE IN IBADAN

Thirteen basketball teams have expressed interest and will today lock horns at the Adamasingba Basketball Court for this year editon of Propella 3X3 Basketball Oyo State Challenge.
The annual event, which is aimed to discover young talents, develop grassroots basketball in the state and the country at large and promote healthy relations within the city and it’s environs through basketball will start 8am.
According to the Chairman of the event, Mr Babatunde Popoola, the basketball challenge will also allow scouts the opportunity to discover talent for clubs within the country and abroad.
Mr Tunde Popoola, in a brief chat with OyoSportsNews, confirmed that 13 teams have officially registered for the event. He also listed out the participating teams and pairings for the event which was also tagged 'Men Open'.
The teams are, Beavers, Lagos, Peekay Hoopers, Ile Ife, Osun state, The Polytechnic, Ibadan basketball team, Hoop Dreams, Ibadan, TTP Hoopers, Ibadan, Mama Gold, Ibadan, Liberty Spears, Ibadan, UI Hoopers, Ibadan and Egbeda Basketball and Tourism, Ibadan
Others are, Raptors, Lagos, Raising star, Ibadan, Book n Ball Academy, Osogbo and Showtyme, Ibadan

According to the Convener of the basketball tournament, Mr Babatunde Popoola, first, second and third placed teams will receive cash prizes with the Champions going home with #200,000, runners up will get #100,000 while the third place team will be given #75,000.
