The Oyo State Football Association [OYSFA] has extended their congratulations to Miss Wasilat Adegoke over her appointment as the new Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde.Miss Wasilat Adegoke was swore-in yesterday alongside Dr Mrs Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi as the Commissioner for Health in Oyo state by Governor Makinde.
Miss Wasilat Adegoke, 29, an illustrious daughter of Lanlate in Ibarapa East Local Government area of Oyo state graduated from Department of Statistics at The Polytechnic Ibadan. She is arguably the youngest commissioner amongst Omituntun 2.0 agenda under Governor Seyi Makinde second term in office.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Association's Secretary Mr Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo, Oyo FA welcomed the new Sports Boss and urged her to revive schools and grassroots sports in the state.The Oyo State Football Association through its Chairman, HRM Oba James Odeniran, the Alakinyele of Akinyele advised the youngest commissioner in the state to engage in open dialogue with sports stakeholders in the state, and gather feedback, ideas and experience that will foster sports development and help athletes achieve thier dreams.
Oba Odeniran emphasized the significance of Sports in promoting unity and economic growth in Oyo state. He encouraged the commissioner to bridge gaps, foster a sense of belonging among sports stakeholders, and address disparities that impede progress.Oba Odeniran, however, charged her to work assiduously for the realization of Omituntun 2.0 agenda of Governor Makinde.
