Team Oyo next opponent in male and female Chess event has been announced by the Local Organising Committee at the ongoing National Youth Games has been announced.
Recall that the state athletes in Chess event booted out host Team Delta and Team Kogi at the round one and round two respectively with 4-0 same scoreline.
The male and female athletes under the tutor of Coach Olabode Sofoluwe began thier event yesterday after Adepoju Ayomide, Sambo Joseph, Mufutau Waris and Odoola Fawas defeated thier counterparts from Delta state and Kogi state.
The female athletes; Daramola Michelle, Adepoju Anuoluwayimika, Adeyemi Ayomiposi and Oyetunde Hannah also zoomed to round two after beating Team Bauchi 4-0.
In male category, Team Oyo will confront Team Edo today at the indoor sports hall of Stephen Keshi stadium while the female athletes will also face Team Edo.
