NYG: WHY I CRIED AFTER LOSING - OYO ATHLETE, AHMED FATIMOH

Team Oyo female athlete in Table Tennis, Ahmed Fatimoh has exclusively told OyoSportsNews why she shed tears after crashing out of the female singles' table tennis at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta state.
Ahmed Fatimoh, a pupil of Army Children Secondary School, Ayetoro in Oyo town, made her debut at the National Youth Games but lost to Somual Beauty from Bayelsa state at the round of 32.
Fatimoh lost 2-0 [11-4 & 11-5] at the first and second set respectively after being booted out at the mixed double. The darked skinned hijab teenager came third at the Efunkoya Table Tennis championship but could not reach the last 16 at the National Youth Games.
Ahmed Fatimoh, 11, told OyoSportsNews; "This is my first time outside South West, Nigeria, and at the National Youth Games. I think I prepared very well but unfortunately I could reach the final stage. I remember I was confident during the pre-match activities, but immediately the game started, I was afraid to show my potential due to the crowd and performance of my opponent."

"After the first set, my coach told me to be calm and pay careful attention to the returning balls but I couldn't control the game until I lose. I cried because it seems everone was watching and may be how badly I played."
Ahmed Fatimoh, a native of oyo town in Oyo state assured of better performance in the next youth games.
"I think, may be my performance was as a result of my exposure but I'm sure by next year; I will be more better and confident."
Team Oyo's thirteen year old and Olivet High School teenager Usman Ayoola, who also lost to Team Lagos and Nigeria No 2 Junior Champion told OyoSportsNews that his target is to win gold medal next year after losing to Team Bayelsa in NYG kwara 2021.
