NYG: TEAM OYO PASSES SCREENING EXERCISE, SET EYES ON MEDALS

Oyo state athletes at the 7th edition of National Youth Games taking place at Asaba, Delta state have sailed through at the screening exercise held today at the main bowl of Stephen Keshi stadium.
The athletes that were screened and granted approval will now have opportunities to compete in their respective games starting from tomorrow, Saturday 23rd.
Oyo athletes will feature in twenty events out of 35 which was officially listed by the National Sports Commission and Federal Ministry of Youth Development. The games are Volleyball, Boxing, Handball, Badminton, Tennis, Judo, Taekwondo, Swimming, Hockey, Golf, Cycling, and Dart.
Other games line-up are Cricket, Beach Volleyball, Baseball/Softball, Chessz Karate, Scrabble, Deaf Athletics, Para Athletics, Canoeing, Para Table Tennis, Fives, Gymnastics, Squash, Football, Trado Sports, Shooting, Wrestling, Trado Sports [Kokowa], Athletics and Basketball.
