OMITUNTUN 2.0: OYO SPORTS COMMISSIONER PLEDGES EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVES FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke has assured entrepreneurs in the state, especially the young ones, of Governor Seyi Makinde's readiness to provide them an enabling platform to exhibit their entrepreneurial skills to achieve their full potentials.
Miss Wasilat Adegoke who was speaking at the first official meeting organized for the management staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all the agencies and parastatals under her supervision noted that the state government is aware of the growing interest of the younger generation in doing something for themselves, rather than looking for non-existent white-collar jobs.
The Commissioner empathised that her appointment is a call to duty to serve her constituency, the State and the Nation at large, adding that she is not the best or most intelligent person amongst the youth, stressing that she will not betray the trust placed in her by the state governor. She appreciated the Executive Government of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde for his Fatherly role, noting that the electioneering campaign promises made by the him will be fulfilled.
Wasilat Adegoke, an illustrious daughter of Lanlate in Ibarapa East Local Government reiterated her commitments to give sense of belonging to the youths.
“The youth will not be left out in all our programmes and projects. I will strive to promote sport development, entrepreneurial skills, youth empowerment and Information, Communication and Technology for the benefits of the teeming youths in Oyo State."
She acknowledged that she will play the pivotal supervisory role to achieve tremendous success, adding that she is looking forward for impactful and harmonious working relationship with all agencies and parastatals under the Ministry. She, however solicited for the support, guidance and advice of the members of staff in attendance.
